How to reach the Jezuïetenberg (Jesuit Caves):

Approaching Maastricht from the north or the east (A2 motorway) you take the road N278 towards 'Hasselt'. Arriving at the roundabout 'Tongerseplein'(traffic circle) you follow the signs for 'Tongeren'and at the traffic light you turn left in the direction of 'Kanne'. When you approach the Belgium border you take the road on your right where you see the sign 'Jezuïetenberg'. After approximately 75 m there are two parking lots at your left side. Motor coaches are advised to park on the top parking lot. when you leave you can go through the lower one. In the back corner of the top parking lot you will find a staircase leading to the entrance of the Jesuit Caves.

Coming from the motorway A13/E313 in Belgium you drive via the afrit no. 32 Tongeren/Riemst towards Maastricht. At Vroenhoven you cross the 'Albert Canal Bridge' and turn right to 'Kanne'. At the foot of the hill, where you will see a small chapel, you turn left to 'Maastricht'. Then you see on your left 'Château Neercanne' where your cross the border between Belgium and the Netherlands. Following you take the second road on your left, where you see the sign which says 'Jezuïetenberg. To get to the Jesuit Caves from there see the directions above.
